“Consumption history” and “demand forecast” certification methods

The use of "demand forecast" and "consumption history” load reduction check methods is subject to the certification and monthly verification of the quality of the forecasts and the consumption history according to the selected method.

NEBEF

In accordance with the NEBEF rules 3.5, RTE publishes the thresholds to be met for the quality indicators of the demand forecast and consumption history according to the selected load reductions check method.

The criteria presented in the following table must be met during the monthly verification of the quality of the forecast, or of the history if applicable, and according to the conditions defined in the NEBEF rules 3.5.

Balancing mechanism

RTE also publishes the thresholds to be met for the demand forecast and consumption history quality indicators, in accordance with the load reduction check method selected in the context of participation in the Balancing Mechanism.

The criteria set out in the following table must be met when checking the quality of the forecast, or the history, where relevant, on a monthly basis and according to the conditions laid down in the Rules relating to Scheduling, the Balancing Mechanism and Recovery of Balancing Charges Section 1.
