Access the metering data of the sites in your portfolio, in near-real time, intradaily, or from the following day.

+ A range of data services to better manage your activity.

The service

Metering data are retrieved in raw form (as recorded in the meter) or in validated form (erroneous or unavailable data are processed).

Accessing raw data

Accessing data in near-real time (via IP metering*)

The following data are available:

  • Metering data (dials T1, T2, T3 and T4: active and reactive power, extracted and injected),
  • Physical data (physical extraction and injection).

You have 2 means of access:

  • Data retrieved at 10-minutes intervals can be consulted via the Services Portal,
  • Data can be automatically retrieved via an application connecting to our application programming interface (API) available on the Data Portal, and then displayed on your programmed channels (e.g. a website, an application, etc.). Data are retrieved at 1-minute or 10-minute intervals.

Retrieve all raw data on D+1 (IP metering*)

In order to complete data which have not been collected in near-real time, you can retrieve via API the whole of the raw metering data on D+1 starting at 6:00am in 1-minute period.

Reading metering data remotely on an intraday basis (via PSTN metering*)

You can retrieve your raw data by your own means, outside the time slots reserved for RTE’s exclusive use. Metering data (dials T1, T2, T3 and T4: active and reactive power, extracted and injected) are returned at 10-minute intervals.

Accessing validated data the following day (IP or PSTN metering*)

The following data are available:

  • Metering data (dials T1, T2, T3 and T4: active and reactive power, extracted and injected),
  • Physical data (physical extraction and injection).

Your data are retrieved at 10-minute intervals and you have 2 means of access:

  • Data can be consulted via the Services Portal,
  • Data can be automatically retrieved via our application programming interface (API), available on the Data Portal.

Conditions

To be eligible for these services, you must :

  • have a data transmission authorisation from the rights holder on the data (in certain cases via annex C7 “Agreement to attach an injection or withdrawal component to the balance perimeter of a Balance Responsible Entity”)
  • be able to access RTE’s information system (IS).

Remote meter reading requires the purchase of specific software from a meter supplier or a specialised company. Customers can remotely retrieve their data by maintaining a telephone line utilisation rate of less than 20%, as long as they never read the meter remotely between midnight and 6 am.

APIs are experimental services and are not billed.

* Data stored by the meters are read remotely via a telecommunications network. The interface technology may be either via PSTN (the public switched telephone network : where your meter is connected to a telephone switch by a pair of wires via the local loop); or via IP (Internet Protocol: your meter is digitised and uses a computer network communication protocol).
